Privacy Policy

OpenBinder is run by an individual in Nova Scotia, Canada. This page explains what personal information the site collects, why,
and who can see it. Questions or requests: contom91@gmail.com.
What we collect
- Buyers: your name, email, phone number (optional), shipping address (if shipping), any note you add, what you ordered, and
the internet (IP) address the order came from (used only to stop abuse).
- Sellers: collection name, shop title, login email, e-Transfer email, pickup area, a protected (hashed) password, your card list
and your orders.
- We don't collect payment details. You pay sellers directly by Interac e-Transfer through your own bank.
Why we use it
- To place your order and let the seller pack, ship or arrange pickup.
- To send emails about your order (confirmation, payment received, shipped) and seller account emails (password resets).
We never send marketing emails and never sell or rent your information.
- To prevent fraud and abuse (for example, limiting login attempts and repeated unpaid orders).
- If the law requires it, to meet tax reporting obligations about sellers (see the Seller Terms).
Who can see it
- The seller you buy from sees your name, email, phone, address and note for your order only. Sellers agree to use it only to complete your order.
- The site owner can access the database to run the site and help with problems.
- Service providers that run parts of the site: Cloudflare (hosting and database), our email delivery service (to send order emails),
Scryfall (card pictures load from Scryfall's servers, so your browser connects to them; they don't get your order details) and TCGplayer
(sellers' price lookups; no buyer information is sent). Some of these store data outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be
accessible to authorities under local law.
Your browser
Your cart and checkout details are saved in your own browser (local storage) so they're there next time. Sellers' logins are kept the same way.
OpenBinder doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies or analytics.
How long we keep it
Your shipping address, phone number and IP address are deleted automatically one year after your order is finished. The rest of the order
(what was bought, when and for how much) is kept so sellers have records. You can ask for your information to be deleted sooner, unless it's
needed for an open order or a legal obligation.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal information by emailing contom91@gmail.com.
If you're not satisfied with how a privacy concern is handled, you can contact the
Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Security
The site uses HTTPS, stores seller passwords only in hashed form, and limits repeated login attempts. No system is perfectly secure.
Please use a unique password for your seller account.
Changes
We'll update the date at the top when this policy changes.
